After struggling with a Joomla site for the past year to get content where I want it, this HTML/Javascript template is refreshing and simple. It comes with limited functionality, which is all I needed for this new site. However, the documentation for setting up the form mail was incomplete. It uses PhpMailer and they basically punted to that developer for you to figure out how to configure it. The template documentation definitely skips over this critical step. I tried in vain to get the SMTP configuration to work with the template, although I was able to get it to work perfectly at command line and return a Success, which makes me believe despite no documentation I got it configured properly. When I tried it from the template it always reported an error. I had to change it to a simple mail configuration to get it to work. This is fine for what I need, but frustrating that I spent hours trying to get it to work and I have doubts they ever tested SMTP with their template. I would give this 5 stars if the setup guide explained every configuration step to get your site working and they actually worked.
